The first (and only) performance of a work which explored the pretty in the ugly/ugly in the pretty of the strange ordinary(ness) of suburban South Africa pre ’94. The performance took place at UNYAZI the first electronic music festival and symposium in Africa that took place at Wits University 1-4 September 2005 and was directed and curated by Dimitri Voudouris. The performance featured Chris Wood ,Albert Sapsford and Ziza Muftic.
The work was in five parts, two of which feature here. I hadn’t listened to these tracks for over ten years until one-day Albert got in touch with me and it led to a kind of completion of these abandoned pieces.
